Big thanks to everyone who came out and voted at our three locations.

The people have spoken and by just 10 votes, the winner is The St Louligan Dog – a suggestion from Jason Patrylo!

Congratulations Jason and THANK YOU to everyone who participated!

Um… YES. Why do you sound so surprised? Obviously hot dogs are the perfect wedding food – and CLEARLY Steve’s Hot Dogs is your ideal St Louis wedding caterer. :) No really…

According to TheKnot.com, Steve’s Hot Dogs wedding catering services are poised for greatness in the coming year. Two recent wedding trends make casual catering like our hot dogs + mac and cheese ideal for your main dish or late-night wedding snacks.

Late Night Wedding Snacks

After a long night of dancing (and drinking), there’s nothing better than a tasty treat to refuel for after-party fun. Treat your guests to a late night wedding snack with Steve’s Hot Dogs. Cut our dogs in half and offer them up to guests before they hit the road. Ask about our pretzel buns too – for the ultimate trendy treat.

Local St Louis Wedding Food

If you know Steve’s Hot Dogs, you know we’re big into local St Louis restaurant collaborations. Consider catering a St Louis wedding? Then, consider theming your food St Louis too! Consider beer from our friends at Schlafly, Urban Chestnut, O’Fallon Brewery, or any of our other great St Louis brewers, cupcakes from The Cup, Czech sweet treats from St Louis Kolache, or even the trendiest of wedding snacks – DONES from Strange Donuts! Maybe appetizer pizza bites from Dogtown Pizza on the menu? Keep it casual with hot dogs, mac & cheese, potato salad, and chips for the main dish. Serve it super casual as a wedding buffet that’s self-serve, or get fancy and have someone from our team there to plate it for your guests.

Most weddings you attend follow the same standard formula, right? Ceremony, cocktails, dinner, grandma dancing to Y-M-C-A and a late night stop at a local diner. Mix it up and make it memorable with wedding food delivered by Steve’s Hot Dogs.

[and hey – if you’re not down for a super casual wedding meal, consider a picnic-themed rehearsal dinner with Steve’s for dinner!]

Fill out the form below to get a quote for Steve’s to cater your next event – or click here to get all the details about our buffet spread!

Steve’s Hot Dogs to open new location at The Pageant March 4

St. Louis, MO., February 10, 2016 – Steve’s Hot Dogs has truly come full circle. Originally started as a hot dog cart to feed fans after concerts by local musician Steve Ewing, the business has grown to include two brick and mortar locations, and will now open a third spot at The Pageant.

Ewing, the frontman for local bands The Urge and The Steve Ewing band, is partnering with Pageant co-owners Pat Hagin and Joe Edwards to open the new location in March. Steve’s Hot Dogs at The Pageant will be located inside The Pageant in the box office and retail space known as “Suite 100.” Food will be sold from 6 pm to midnight on show nights, before and during concerts.

“The original idea for Steve’s Hot Dogs was simple. I wanted to feed the fans after our shows. It was late, there weren’t a lot of options, and I wanted to give them something delicious to round off a great night. So, we got a food cart, went out on the streets and business was good,” said Ewing. After realizing the seasonal limitations of his food cart business, Steve opened a brick and mortar location at Marconi & Bischoff in the Hill neighborhood in St. Louis. He launched a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2014 to open his second location in Tower Grove East in partnership with the Tick Tock Tavern.

The famously creative and experimental restaurant will offer a limited menu for this location, featuring crowd favorites including the Gorilla Mac & Cheese Dog, the Waffle Dog, a Chicago-style dog, and a build-your-own dog with 5 toppings. Dogs will be priced at $5 and $6. Seating will be limited in Suite 100, but customers will be allowed to take their food into the Pageant and into Halo Bar, which seats up to 150.

“I’ve known Steve for over 20 years. This collaboration is something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time. We’re thrilled to be able to offer another option for concert-goers here – especially one that’s quickly become a St. Louis food favorite,” said Pat Hagin, co-owner of The Pageant. “We know it will add to the unforgettable experiences our attendees have when they come to our events.”

Steve’s Hot Dogs at the Pageant will also be in close proximity to the new Delmar Hall when it opens later this Fall. Plans for the 800-capacity venue were unveiled by Edwards and Hagin just last week.

The new location is slated to open on March 4 for a KPNT concert featuring Metric and Joywave.

About Steve’s Hot Dogs

Founded in 2011, Steve’s Hot Dogs on the Hill began as an idea to provide fans of Steve’s band, the Urge, with a post-show hot dog cart.  It quickly developed into a restaurant that is now open all year.  Using only the finest of local ingredients, Steve’s Hot Dogs offer a wide variety of gourmet hot dogs, sausages, soups, chili, macaroni bowls, and a variety of weekly specials. The restaurant has two locations offering dine-in or delivery options, and will soon open a third in partnership with the Pageant in University City.
